When Computers Break... (Neveah)

"...Don't you dare...don't..." Sitting by one of the long tables in the Blue study room, Sophia muttered to seemingly no one. It was well after school, and as expected, the majority of the students have already retired to their dorms or other extracurricular activities. Not that the Brit minded of course; it simply meant that she had the whole study room to herself, which was helpful since she needed a quiet environment to finish her philosophy paper.
Well, it would have been helpful anyway if her laptop would work. The sleek dual-core Dell Inspiron 1525, which had been her reliable choice of computers for the last half a year, simply refused to function. She pressed the power button again and again, but all the computer was willing to do was open, run the opening windows logo, then display a blue screen. According to her Wildseed friends, such a symptom is also called the Blue Screen of Death, and it means that her computer had came down with a pretty severe case of virus infection.
Unfortunately, Melanie, her tech guru friend, is sick today, and Rachael has basketball practice. That leaves her, alone, totally stuck with the problem. "Please don't crash, please don't crush," she whispered urgently to the computer, hopefully pressing the power button once more. Open screen...logging screen...and blue.
"Urg," she let out an exasperated sigh, running a hand through her glossy dark hair in frustration. The obsidian mane danced with her motion, before settling down in its usual perfect state, much unlike the current jumble of thoughts in her mind. By this point, Sophia's usual calm and self-assured composure was all but shattered, and she could care less at the moment since she was alone. Pianist like fingers slowly messaged her temple as she tried to come up with a way to fix her laptop, and her beautiful features were knotted up into a worried frown. Someone please tell her she doesn't have to rewrite the fifteen page paper...
