Libraries were usually nice places to be. Especially for people like Twila, who try and avoid as much interaction as possible. With the emphasis on study and silence, she found it most often suited her needs. So, this was one of the first places she intended to go when she arrived on campus. It was a delightful place and very spacious. A few other students milled about tending to whatever studies they were currently engaged in.

And that was something that helped Twila immensly. She didn't have to worry about drawing unwanted attention. She could move around freely and looked far more graceful than when she was while out in other public areas.

With far more casual strides, she lifted a couple of volumes of books and then took a seat in a nearby chair. The books she had picked were all centered around the Llanfair Cathedral. When she first heard tales about the old building she couldn't help but feel a rush of excitment. It certainly met her criteria for a little exploration. But before she would step foot on it's grounds, she needed to learn a little information about it's history. And if she had any luck, she would be able to find a layout of the cathedral.

What a waste of a perfectly good day. Kaitlyn sighed inwardly. The only good part of libraries was that people tended to leave her alone in them. She was here to do some quick research and leave. It couldn't take her that long, could it?

Her eyes scanned the tables in hopes of finding one unoccupied while she read the book she thought might help her. She had to do a double take at a sloppy haired young girl reading up on the Llanfair Cathedral. That was her place! She was partially responsible for scaring most of the students on "courage tests" off. Well, she looks like an easy target. Wildseed, but obviously new. Maybe I can persuade her to not go.

She moved over to the girl's table and smiled in a not-quite-nice way. "Poor thing, did your friends challenge you to check out the ghosts?"

Legends and stories. Nothing particularly useful in this volume. Interest material, but nothing that would aid her in her exploration. Twila had shut the book and was about to put it back on the table next to her seat of choice.

That was when someone actually spoke to her. Could she not even find solace in the hallowed institution of the library? The red-haired girl with the rather devious look on her face provided that answer and it was one that she did not particularly enjoy.

"W-what? No...." she mumbled out a response, "I'm goin' in on m'own....."

The quite voice was a little more assertive than normal...although still confused at the line of questioning. Peering out over the red rims of her glasses, she looked up at the older girl. The most pressing question was, what did she want?

"I'm goin' in on m'own....."

Kait was not happy to hear that. If this kid was doing this for herself, scaring her off wouldn't be easy. Well, if she didn't succeed here she'd more than likely succeed at the cathedral.

"You do know it's haunted right? Strange noices, people walking where there is no ground. Some Novice's last year say they saw a bride and groom walking down the aisle, dripping in blood." Kait knew there was truth behind the bride and groom story. She'd managed to pull that trick off herself. One of her best, if she did say so herself. " Besides, it's probably not safe in there and you can get in trouble if your caught. Why would you want to go?"

Curse other people and their insistance on coversation! Twila was not happy to face such a barrage of questions and on top of it to be told such ridiculous rumors involving "ghosts" and "hauntings".

"I like those kinds of places." Twila replied, in her quiet yet assertive voice, "I've probably been to worse."

Which was quite true. At least in terms of safety. She had visited quite a number of places that could have resulted in severe injury were she not careful enough. From the sounds of things, the Cathedral was going to pose a moderate challenge. But that was what drew her to the structure in the first place.

With an irritated frown, Kaitlyn responded, "Well, fine then. Good luck with your little trip." Maybe I'll get lucky and she'll run off when she gets there. Or just make one trip. Dang it, that's my place. Without another word, she turned and left the younger girl to her studies.

Twila heaved a sigh of reliefe once Kaitlyn turned to leave. It wasn't the most pleasant of exchanges, but it more than made up for it in it's brevity. She said nothing as the older student departed and buried her face down in her book, absorbing whatever information she could.
